A feature of the highly successful Tangihau Angus bull sale on Monday morning was the traditional auctioning off of the stud’s Charity Bull, this year supporting the award-winning Surfing for Farmers mental wellbeing programme. Lot 42 sold for $13,500 and Bayleys Gisborne rural sales agent Stephen Thomson (above left), who started the surfing initiative in Gisborne, was thrilled about it.
