Three months post go-live, we are very pleased with the strong uptake we have seen in the Helical system. The first process launched to breeders was the Active Dam List, breeders reported this to be a smooth and efficient process and resulted in a stronger return of ADLs than last year. The Tipsheets and videos in our Angus NZ Helical Support Hub have been widely used and are now available for all processes or reporting functions a breeder would carry out, receiving positive feedback. This space enables breeders to have full support in any process they are completing outside office hours.
Several reporting and visual updates have already been made to the system following breeder feedback to improve the user experience. Breeders continue to compliment the intuitiveness and speed of the platform. We encourage the continuation of feedback from breeders- this is your platform and we want to make all interactions as user-friendly as possible.
The platform is constantly evolving with breeder feedback, and we made changes to reporting options following the ward meeting in the PBB office. Further webinar sessions held with Dan Garrick from Helical to explain how the system came to be and the further capabilities were very well received and have provided some exciting EBV opportunities for the future regarding structural EBVs. The registry team have carried out a number of demonstrations to different ward groups and at the No Bull Weekender, with plans to carry out a webinar series in the new year, as well as a session at the Northland herd tour.
