Hello all and well done to all those breeders who have held their yearling bull sales to date. We’ve seen great clearances and strong averages across the country, for both yearling bulls and also heifers.
If you’ve purchased yourself a yearling bull and it’s a black one, you’re already on the right track to fetching higher premiums right throughout the supply chain.
One
of the highlights of the sales to date would have to be the sale at
Turihaua Angus on the East Coast. Turihaua sold all 26 of the yearling
bulls offered for an average price of $8,607, with a sale high price of
$12,500. Congratulations.
We hope the spring is treating you well with abundant grass and warmer weather.
Ngā mihi.
