Genetic Evaluation Report

The 2008 EBV's for Angus Sires

This report contains a summary of the Angus Genetic Evaluation's estimated breeding values (EBV's) for sires recorded in the New Zealand + Australian Herds and the Performance Recorded Angus Cattle Register (PRAC) of New Zealand.

These EBV's were obtained from the Analysis of Pedigree and performanc data contained in the databases of the New Zealand Angus Association and the Angus Society of Australia.

The Australasian Angus Group Breedplan analysis analises performance records representing over 39716 sires and 353265 dams.

NZ Angus Herd Book

The Herd Book is a year by year record of Registered Angus bulls, cows and heifers that registered in the year of publication. Every registered animal placed in this book is assigned a unique number for its lifetime and beyond. This record is one of the functions of the NZAA.
