World Angus Forum – Scotland 2017

We have received 15 applications to be part of our team for the Youth Competition at the World Angus Forum in Scotland in June-July next year.  Of those who have applied, a total of 9 final candidates will travel to Scotland and represent Angus NZ and Generation Angus, and these 9 will be decided at trials held in the first week of December.

Those of you interested in attending the World Forum can visit their website to view the broad outline of the programme. Visit: NZ are currently working with a local travel agent on some travel options, and at this stage we have an indication from them that the return airfares (Auckland – London – Edinburgh – Auckland) will be around $3,000 per person, provided we have names and numbers in before 15 December.

Please register your interest with Craig Mitchell prior to December if you are interesting in attending the event.

About the World Angus Forum
In 2017 The World Angus Forum will be held in the UK, the home of the Aberdeen Angus breed. The Forum will take place from Thursday 15th June – Monday 3rd July 2017 and will incorporate a tour in England, including the National Show at the Three Counties, a tour in Scotland and the Royal Highland Show taking place in Edinburgh, and a Tour of Ireland.
The Forum is held every four years and provides a platform for the exchange of genetics information and breeding objectives, and also acts as a forum for youth involvement, to take us into the future.

The Forum will attract many Angus breeders, farmers and associated companies from all over the world, to listen to speakers, share their knowledge, expertise, experiences and network together.
