AUTUMN FMG ANGUS NZ BULL EVALUATION UNIT OPEN DAY FRIDAY 19TH MARCH 2010
If you are coming to the CD Field Days choose Friday 19th and come and spend a couple of hours at 402 Milson Line Palmerton North and view the 2010 Angus bulls from this years intake of the BEU AND also the North Island entries in to the “Select Sires Group” will be on hand to view, bulls that were used a yearling by breeders.
The day starts at 11.00am and concludes with a visit to the Massey University DNA Laboratory – come and learn how this science works in the identification of animals, plants and humans – it is fascinating!
Lunch will be provided, sponsored by FMG Ltd.
Programme for the day is:
11.00am: Cuppa available before a welcome and introductions by Chairman of both groups of bulls, Grant Crawshaw, followed by viewing of the bulls
12.00pm: Lunch sponsored by FMG Ltd.
12.45pm: Further viewing and selection from ‘Public Choice’ bulls to go forward to National sale.
1.30pm Announcement of prize winners and those bulls taken out by ‘public choice’.
2.15pm: General discussion and refreshments
3.00pm: Opportunity to visit the Massey University Equine DNA lab, the lab that is contracted to do all PBBnz samples. Dr Jenny Cahill will host you through the lab and answer any questions that people may have on DNA.
